How to submit an article to the Badger Legionnaire
Helpful Hints for article submissions:
Things to do (Requirements):
· Articles and photos need to be emailed to Badger@wilegion.org
· Articles need to be in a Word document
· Photos need to be in jpg. format - limit to 2 photos per article
· Articles should not be more than 400 words in length
· Posts should not send more than 2 articles per edition
· The photos and the article need to be separate – do not combine them into one document. We need to be able to move the two around to best fit.
Things not to do:
· Do not send articles promoting upcoming fundraising events. The Badger Legionnaire does not have room in the publication to advertise every Post’s fundraisers.
· Do not mail or drop off hard copy photos and hand-written articles to be published. Our work with our contracted printer is all done electronically. Hard copy photos that are scanned are not a good quality for printing.
· Do not send articles that are over 400 words. We just do not have enough space for long articles. We want to be able to include everyone’s submissions.
· Look at your photos before sending. Are they clear? Does the photo have meaning – will the other readers know what is going on in the photo? We want to see Legionnaires in action! This gives your Post bragging rights.
