Chaplain's Alert for January 3, 2013

Duane W. Neuman, Department Commander 1983-1984 passed away on Wednesday January 2, 2013. He was elected Department Commander at the 1983 Department Convention in Madison. A member of the Otto H. Kops Post #358 of Unity, he joined The American Legion in 1957 and has been active on all levels. He is a Past Post Commander, Past County Commander, Past District Commander and Past Department Vice Commander. During  his five years as Post Commander and two years as District Commander he conducted active membership campaigns and attained over 100% in membership. Duane is a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in March of 1954. Duane and his wife have two sons and three daughters. Funeral Services are as follows:

Visitation:  Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 3:00-6:00 pm and Monday 9:00 am - 11:00 am with a Legion Walk thru at 10:30 am.

Service: Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 with lunch to follow and the interment will follow lunch.
