Adjutant Gear joined the team in June of 2020. His experiences  through his military career and education including recruiting, leadership, Business Management and Communications will serve him well as the Department Adjutant.

James worked as a Veterans Service Representative at the D.S.O. for 2 years before becoming the Department Service Officer for the past 11 years. "Your Service Office is proud, knowing that veterans, war widows(ers) and orphans will receive their due benefits and possibly one day a college education because we were able to help."

The Mission of Camp American
Legion: Helping to Heal Those who served, continue to serve and their families through Wisconsin's north woods experience. Don and his family joined the Team is 2016.

This is Paul's second time filling in as the Interim Department Adjutant. Paul is the former Mayor of Lodi which brings experience in government, budgeting and finance, policy and procedures and constitution and bylaws.

Chris has been processing membership for Legion Wisconsin for 18 years. She processes both the Legion and SAL Membership; tracking how all are progressing toward reaching membership goals. She is a lifelong resident of Portage. "I am very much honored to work for this organization."

Angie has been planning the major events and serving as the Executive Secretary to the Department Adjutant for more than 10 years. "Thank you for your service and for allowing me to work on behalf of Wisconsin's Veterans, their families and their communities."

Carol has been greeting visitors to HDQ for 8 years. As the Administrative Assistant she assists the entire team in completing tasks. "Working at The American Legion has been very rewarding for me and I consider it an honor to assist in whatever way that I can."

Sheri has been with the HDQ team for 3 years. She is the coordinator for Badger Boys State, Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy, Shooting Sports and Oratorical. "I am very excited to work with the programs of The American Legion."

Jen is the newest member of the HDQ team. She is the baseball coordinator, editor of the Badger Legionnaire and assisting with social media. Her background in graphic design and photography is a great asset to the Department. "Thank you for the warm welcome."

Lee joined the Legion Team in May 2019 and brings 25 years of experience in finance and operational management in corporate, county, nonprofit and sole proprietor businesses. In his role as Finance Director for each of the three small nonprofit corporations within the Legion Family, Lee oversees the finance, accounting and audit, budget, contract management, human resource management, insurance, investment, risk management, and supply chain operations.  “I look up to my uncles, father-in-law, and friends who have served this great Country with honor and integrity, and this is how I can serve them and all of the Wisconsin families who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.  But let me be clear, I would still make them submit receipts before reimbursement.”
