Start a Team
- Appoint a Post Athletic Officer and/or a Team Manager (not a coach, that comes later)
- Elect or appoint a baseball committee
- Contact the Wisconsin American Legion Baseball Commissioner or your Regional Director for advice and help
- Send in Team Entry Blank with fee. (That will get you started, with 18 player identification cards, Player Certification Papers, Insurance information and application, State Baseball Handbook and get registered for Tournament play in July)
- Arrange with neighboring teams for League affiliation and/or game scheduling
- Line up a coach
- Recruit players (and you're on your way)
** Remember: Players in your program need not be children of veterans! American Legion Baseball is available to ALL interested players of eligible age. Every interested candidate should be given a chance to try out.
