Keith Kreul Scholarship

 
Keith A. Kreul, Fennimore, is a member of The American Legion Post 184, a past Wisconsin State Commander (1974), and past National Commander (1984).  Past National Commander Kreul is a strong supporter and believes in Badger Boys State and in the Americanism programs of the American Legion.
 
You are eligible for this scholarship if you were a Badger Boys State delegate on the Citizens Advisory Council, as selected by the counselors of the Badger Boys State session, and interviewed by members of the Board of Directors present for the session.  Scholarship applications must be filed by August 31st, following the Badger Boys State session that was attended.  Announcement of the Scholarship Award will be made by the date of the following annual meeting of the Board of Directors.
 
The following guidelines are in the selection of the recipient of this scholarship:
Being the recipient of any other scholarship does not disqualify a candidate from accepting this scholarship.   Payment will be distributed as follows:
  1. Payment will be made only upon evidence of enrollment from the educational institution that the applicant has completed matriculation and has been accepted by said institution.
  2. Payment shall be to the Financial Aids Office at the accepting institution and shall be applied toward the first semester tuition, fees, and other education expenses.
  3. In the event the recipient does not pursue education beyond the high school level, he automatically forfeits all scholarship privileges and money will be transferred to the next eligible applicant.
Control of the Keith A. Kreul Scholarship Fund shall be by The American Legion Badger Boys State, Inc.  An award committee of three members will be appointed by the chairman of the Board of Directors for the purpose of administering and judging the competition for this scholarship.  It is anticipated that the scholarship may be awarded at an awards program at the high school of the winner.
