Adjutant's Notes for November 2, 2011

CALLING ALL MARINES!
Marine Corporal Guage Griffin from Ettrick, Wisconsin was severely wounded on July 12th in Sangin, Afghanistan by a roadside bomb.  He is currently at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis and has just come out of a coma.  He has had one leg amputated, a piece of skull removed due to traumatic brain injury and is in the process of having his remaining leg rebuilt.

His mother said HE IS AT HIS BEST WHEN MARINES COME TO VISIT OR CHECK ON HIM, THOUGH HE COMMUNICATES ONLY WITH A THUMBS UP OR DOWN.

Marine Veteran groups from Winona, MN and Black River Falls as well as Marines from the Legion in Ettrick plan to visit him on November 9th for a mini celebration of the Marine Corps 237th Birthday, lift his spirit and let him know he will have support.  For more information on this visit contact Paul Beseler at (608) 525-2669 or chuckcoulee@gmail.com.

There is a campaign for cards and letters of well wishes and support for him.  Send cards to:
